Here are some recommendations if you need accommodations during the conference.
When booking rooms please mention that you are part of a conference at Houston Baptist University.
For ground transportation there is some shuttle service available for those staying at the Crowne Plaza and HBU will be providing limited van transportation to and from the Comfort Suites each day of the conference.
Houston is very much a driving city, with limited public transportation options for getting around town. What our hosts recommends is that guests should be prepared to either rent a car, car pool with others, or use a ground transport app like Uber if they want to have more flexibility in their visit.
Guests traveling to and from IAH or Hobby can find more information on ground transport at http://www.fly2houston.com/iah/ground-transportation/ and http://www.fly2houston.com/hou/ground-transportation/
The Baugh cafeteria is open for breakfast lunch and dinner during the conference days (http://hbu.campusdish.com/Locations/BaughResidentialRestaurant.aspx )
Other food options at HBU, such as Chick-Fil-A, are open for business the days of the conference but have more limited hours (see http://hbu.campusdish.com/Locations.aspx )
Near campus there are several options for fast food (Chipotle, Whataburger, Taco Cabana, Jack in the Box), several good Asian food restaurants and other fare such as the Salt Grass Steak House and Oliver Garden near the Crowne Plaza hotel.
